The Background :
Stonyhurst College is one of the finest boarding and day schools for boys and girls of the Roman Catholic faith. The College buildings, situated near the village of Hurst Green, are truly magnificent and can be admired from the road passing through the grounds. Originally Stonyhurst was a mansion belonging to the Shireburn family from 1377 and rebuilt on a grand scale in 1537 by Sir Richard. Sir Nicholas had the two large ponds flanking the drive built in 1696, also the Eagle towers which are landmarks for miles around. When Sir Nicholas died in 1717 this was the end of the Shireburn line. The estates eventually passed to the Welds and in 1794, Thomas Weld placed Stonyhurst at the disposal of his old masters, the members of the English Roman Catholic College of Jesuits at Liege in France who had been driven from their establishment by the revolution.

The Project :

We successfully completed an extensive Virtual Tour encompassing some 40 Rooms, because of the planning and support of the college we were able to undertake this project in only one day on site.
